Marcy

Marcy Tardio is one of a dozen midwives who practices home birth in New York.

Inspired by the first birth she ever saw (a footling breech born into the baby's father's hands) and her own homebirth in 1973 , she became a midwife in 1988.

She has worked in hospitals, free-standing birth centers and, in 1996 she affirmed her faith and conviction about natural birth and dedicated herself to the practice of homebirth.

In the film, she will tell us about her choice, the challenges she has experienced in her work, and the lack of public and professional recognition of homebirth.
She will provide answers to most of the questions we have about homebirth."
